Source · Handleless Cup

€18,00

A drink enjoyed with care, alongside the meal.

A 180 ml handleless cup for water, tea or a small drink beside a plant-based breakfast. Its slightly narrowed profile fits the hand; appreciate the ceramic grain when the wall is comfortable to hold.

The Laolao Hengyan includes the temperature and measure of drinks in care through food. Source serves a little at a time, with the freedom to refill as needed. Alone or alongside a grain bowl, it extends the attention given to what we eat and drink.

Food traditions and this piece

Temperature, quantity and the traditional care of drinking

The Laolao Hengyan considers hot and cold food and drink, and cautions about drinking excessively after extreme thirst. Its traditional intention is to care for how the body receives food and drink, matching temperature and quantity to how one feels. OrienX retains an attention to comfort and personal need: notice the temperature, drink when needed, then refill as wanted. The small format describes a way of serving; daily fluid intake follows each person's needs.

A drink beside a plant-based meal

Oats, unsweetened soya drink and pear can be accompanied by water or tea in the cup. It also has a place alongside a bowl of grains, pulses and vegetables. Allow the drink to reach a comfortable temperature and the cup wall to be comfortable before holding it. Source takes little space at the table; its narrowed profile and matte grain bring attention to the feel in the hand. Alone, an everyday small cup; with Aube, or given to someone you care for, a shared intention that returns with each use.

A practice to try

Pour, then drink at a comfortable temperature

Choose water or tea and notice the temperature of both drink and wall. Lift the cup when comfortable to hold and drink, refilling as needed. An everyday gesture developed from traditional attention to hot, cold and measure.

Understand the form

A small format also shapes the grip

An 8 cm diameter and 6.6–6.8 cm height form the slightly waisted tumbler. The 180 ml capacity and 155 g weight help you compare everyday uses. Without a handle, the wall receives heat from the drink.

Help & advice

Answers before you choose

Size, care and the Journal: useful details before ordering.

Does this tumbler suit a large drink?

Its capacity is 180 ml. Check this size if you usually drink from a large mug, and refill as needed; it is not a recommended daily water intake.

Do I need to be vegetarian to use it?

No. Plant-based food inspires the OrienX world; the tumbler remains open to your drinks and way of life.

How do I care for the unglazed surface?

Clean after use and allow it to dry completely. Avoid sudden temperature changes and consult our care guide for cleaning and appliance recommendations.
