Care guide

Back to the shop

Care for your piece as part of everyday life. The ten ceramic pieces in our current collection are suitable for microwave and dishwasher use and for ovens up to 180°C, with the precautions below.

Everyday essentials

Before first use

Wash with lukewarm water and mild detergent, then dry with a soft cloth. Check for cracks or transport damage before use.

Hand washing

A soft sponge and neutral detergent are the safest choice. Avoid steel wool, strong abrasives and prolonged soaking of wooden or composite parts.

Appliance use

The ten ceramic pieces in our current collection can be used in a microwave or dishwasher. Choose a gentle dishwasher cycle and keep pieces from knocking together. The deep, straight-sided bowl (800 ml) is also suitable for a dish steriliser.

Heat

Oven use is limited to 180°C. Avoid direct flame, stovetops and grill settings. Use oven gloves and let the piece cool naturally before washing. Freezer use is not approved; always avoid sudden temperature changes.

Avoid thermal shock

Do not pour boiling water into a very cold piece or place a hot piece on a cold or wet surface. Sudden changes create internal stress and can crack ceramics.

Stacking & storage

Place a soft separator between ceramic surfaces that may rub. Lift rather than drag each piece, and do not let a handle or rim carry the weight of a stack.

Tea, coffee & metal marks

Clean promptly with lukewarm water and mild detergent. For stubborn marks, first test a soft paste of baking soda and water on an inconspicuous area. Avoid bleach and strong abrasives unless the product instructions allow them.

Unglazed surfaces

Some surfaces develop a subtle patina or change in lustre with use. This records time. Stop using a piece with a through-crack, sharp chip or damaged food-contact surface and contact us.

Materials, surfaces and decorations differ. Product-specific instructions take priority over this general guide.
