Grains gather in the bowl and toppings spread across the surface: a familiar vessel for preparing an ordinary breakfast with care.

The roughly 18 cm opening lets you arrange oats, fruit and nuts, keeping the toppings visible.

The 650 ml bowl brings grains, fruit and a little plant drink together. Its inner curve follows the movement of a spoon.

The textured interior and slightly irregular outline give the bowl its character. Changing light reveals subtle variations before and after a meal.
The Laolao Hengyan describes morning porridge in the context of care in later life. Sheng jin means nourishing the fluids that, in traditional thought, moisten the mouth and body; the intention is to ease dryness and thirst. Kuai wei means bringing ease to the stomach, with attention to how comfortably it receives a meal. Ordinary grain, cooked in water until soft and moist, carries that daily care. These are the nourishment intentions of the historical text.
Cook oats with unsweetened soya drink, soften pear separately in a little water, then add a few walnuts. Grains form the breakfast base, soya contributes plant protein, and fruit and nuts bring different textures: a contemporary OrienX combination. Aube's curved wall suits a spoon; the opening leaves room for toppings and the grey beige sets off their colours. Pair it with Verger to keep the pear separate and add it as you eat. Choosing this piece gives an intention of care a preparation, a place and a set of gestures to repeat every morning.
From porridge to seasonal fruit: prepare your bowl, take it in hand and enjoy breakfast.

Your everyday table, seen through your eyes.
