Meadow · Hat-Shaped Plate

€30,00

Choose your own measure, with attention to what you need.

A wide-rimmed plate with a 310 ml centre for hummus, roasted carrots and small dishes with little liquid. The central basin gathers the food; the rim gives a smaller serving a thoughtful presentation.

The Laolao Hengyan invites the eater to judge their own quantity, rather than force the stomach through excess. Prairie develops that intention into a plant-based side served a little at a time, with the pleasure of tasting and the freedom to return for more.

Food traditions and this piece

Personal measure and the traditional care of digestion

In its context of care in later life, the Laolao Hengyan says that the right amount of food is something each person must judge. Its traditional intention is to avoid forced eating and excessive fullness that disturb stomach qi, caring for the reception and transformation of food into nourishment. OrienX retains this attention to personal needs: serve in stages, return to the communal dish, and leave the decision about quantity with the person eating.

A smaller dish with a clear place in the meal

Blend cooked chickpeas into hummus and serve in the centre with roasted carrots, a little olive oil and lemon; offer a grain-based main and leafy greens separately. This can be a starter on its own or a side taken from a shared meal. Prairie's shallow centre gathers purée and a little juice, while its wide rim gives simple ingredients room. Choose it for thoughtful presentation and the freedom to take another helping. The 310 ml describes capacity; how much to eat remains a personal decision.

Pour le plaisir de dresser

Pas l’assiette que je sors pour un gros plat de pâtes. Plutôt pour une petite entrée quand j’ai le temps. Quelques betteraves, un peu de purée, ça fait son effet.
