Why it works

Designed for tea, coffee and small desserts, this piece first aims to make the everyday gesture simple and comfortable. The raised foot creates a clear place to hold the piece and keeps the bowl visually light. A more substantial base balances the wider upper form, so drinks and small desserts can be served without the silhouette feeling unstable. It therefore fits naturally into daily use without asking for a special way of serving or holding it.

Material & making

Porcelain with a low-sheen finish intended for everyday use. Firing can create subtle differences in tone or surface from one piece to another.

OrienX inspiration

OrienX inspiration — Raising the vessel slightly changes the attention given to what it holds. We use that shift to give a drink or dessert a more ritual presence, in a contemporary language where elevation suggests care rather than rank or an invented tradition.

Handmade piece

Small differences in tone, speckling or profile are part of the glaze character and do not affect everyday use.
